HYALURONIC ACID

Hyaluronic Acid Filler

Hyaluronic acid is injected to lift hollows and add definition. Different densities are used for different areas — softer product under the eyes, firmer product for the chin. We decide the amount together at the consultation, with a mirror in front of you.

Who it suits

  • Nasolabial folds that cast a shadow and make you look tired
  • Tear troughs or under-eye hollows
  • A chin you would like to bring forward for a better profile
  • Fuller lips, without looking overdone
  • Hollow temples or cheeks

PackagesALL-INCLUSIVE

Each package covers the consultation with the doctor, the treatment named in that package, topical anaesthetic where it is used, and aftercare guidance. Nothing is added to the price of the package itself. If you decide during the consultation to add a further treatment, an additional area, or a stronger anaesthetic, that is charged separately — the doctor will tell you the amount before anything is carried out.

ABOUT PRICING

Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is taken in Japanese yen at the equivalent amount shown, by cash or credit card. The conversion is fixed at ¥160 to the dollar and is reviewed quarterly, so it will not track the daily exchange rate.

About additional charges. The package price covers the treatment you select. Adding another treatment, another area, or an option such as nitrous oxide sedation or a blunt cannula is charged on top. The doctor explains the cost before proceeding, and you are free to decline.

LANGUAGE

How we communicate. Consultations are usually conducted with the help of a translation app, which our staff use routinely and which works well for the questions that come up in a consultation. Some of our doctors and staff can also handle straightforward English. Please write down anything you particularly want to ask before your visit — it makes the consultation smoother, and you are welcome to send questions on LINE in advance.

What happens

  1. Book

    Reserve online or on LINE.

  2. Consultation

We look in the mirror together and decide the areas, the amount and the product.

  3. Anaesthetic

Topical cream (¥3,300) on request; 20 minutes to take effect.

  4. Injection

About 15 minutes. A blunt cannula (¥5,500) can be used to reduce bruising.

  5. Go home

Make-up is fine the same day. Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise and pressing on the area.

  6. Results

Visible immediately; the final result settles once swelling resolves at one to two weeks.

Risks and side effects

Bruising, swelling, small lumps under the skin and slight asymmetry can occur. Swelling usually settles in two to three days and bruising within one to two weeks. Very rarely filler can block a blood vessel — we keep a dissolving agent on site and treat this immediately.

Who cannot be treated

Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is inflammation or infection at the injection site. Please tell us if you have had filler elsewhere in the same area.

Please note

Results vary between individuals and no particular outcome can be guaranteed. This is elective private treatment and is not covered by Japanese national health insurance.

The device, product or needle used is selected by the doctor based on your skin condition, your goals and your condition on the day. For detailed questions, asking the doctor directly at your consultation is the most reliable way. You may also ask on LINE, but technical questions need to be checked with our clinical staff first, so a reply may take some time.

Questions

Is it reversible?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with an enzyme if you are unhappy with the result.
How much will I need?
Nasolabial folds typically take 0.5–1cc per side, chin 1–2cc, lips 0.5–1cc. We start conservatively and can add more.
Can I have it the same day as my consultation?
Yes, in most cases filler can be done immediately after the consultation.
Will there be bruising before my flight?
Possible. If you are flying within a few days, tell us and we will use a cannula to reduce the risk.
How long does it last?
Six to eighteen months. Areas that move a lot, such as lips, last less time than the chin or temples.
What is the unlimited plan?
Up to 10cc across any areas except the nasal tip and breast — useful if you want several areas treated in one visit.
